Last Thursday, historians witnessed a brand new discovery at the Château des Ducs de Bretagne: a room hitherto hidden in the museum has just been unveiled. It appears to have been the room of Anne of Brittany during one of her stays at the Château, after her marriage to King Charles VIII. Several mysteries still surround our dear Anne of Brittany. We have new elements that lead us to believe that the Duchess would have given birth in this room, in the utmost secrecy. With Charles VIII, Anne had 7 children, but no male heir survived long enough to succeed his father. If we believe the carbon 14 dating method used on the bed sheets, still covered in blood, she would have given birth to this child in 1497.
