Chef's Surprise

For several weeks now, we have been observing the staff and customers of a new American "diner" restaurant. Informants have mentioned to us the strange comings and goings of the head chef, James Marcade. We believe he is using this restaurant as a cover for a secret game room… Indeed, this building previously housed a fairground room open to everyone. Ever since Mr. Marcade took over this establishment, there has been no news of the room. When we asked him about it, he told us that he had destroyed it because he needed space for his kitchen and didn't want to be bothered with such childishness. But the head chef often disappears behind a locked door… According to him, this door simply hides the restaurant's kitchen. But why did he look so suspicious? Has James Marcade destroyed the fairground, as he claims? Or does he keep it locked to prevent access by others than himself, as we suspect?
