The body of Jacques Mariotat, quality manager at the Saint-Nazaire Shipyards, was found lifeless this Friday morning around eight o'clock, in a workshop. The young man, aged 28, had been working for the Shipyards since 2012 and was a model employee, according to his sector manager. "A tragic event," added the latter before looking away, tears in his eyes. The police quickly concluded it was an accident. Mr. Mariotat reportedly hit his head on the corner of the workshop table. The fall, which was fatal, would have opened his skull, causing a serious concussion, according to the coroner's report. Despite everything, doubt still remains in the minds of his colleagues. "For Jacques - may he rest in peace - safety came first," Jonathan, also a worker at the Shipyards and a close friend of the deceased, told us. "It's surprising that he was so careless." Mireille, a colleague and friend of Jacques, will present herself Tuesday afternoon in front of the submarine base for a final tribute, organized by her on behalf of his loved ones.
