As Germany recovers from the horrors of World War I, a mystery looms over Friedrich Wilhelm University. Your fellow student Hans Drummer, the brightest in the class, has mysteriously disappeared. Since then, an unspeakable fear haunts the university's corridors. Professor Gerhard Tychsen, a prominent archaeologist, had chosen him to assist in his research. Hans confided in you that he had seen strange artifacts covered in occult symbols, and even overheard the professor speaking in incomprehensible languages. Since Hans's disappearance, the professor has not been the same: vacant stare, incoherent speeches, strange murmurs. At night, his office remains lit, and a smell of burnt wax emanates from it.
