The Golden Ratio

One of our agents recently reported that Professor Leonard Hofstadter secretly devised, in the early 1990s, a device capable of stabilizing travel to other space-times: the spatio-temporal convector. We have recovered, in the present, the floppy disks that we believe contain his research on this discovery, but they are partially demagnetized and we cannot read their contents. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to travel to his secret office in the 1990s to retrieve the original floppy disks where he stored his work. Be warned: the professor, known for his eccentricities, likely secured access to his office. Uninvited visitors can expect a few surprises, and obtaining the disks will certainly not be easy...
