Le Retour De Giovanni

Lyon, 1658. Giovanni, a young 23-year-old Italian painter, has decided to return to France to visit his uncle Leonzio, whom he has not seen for a long time. He settled for more than 20 years in the Vieux Lyon district, which reminds him of his native Italy. A great lover of the arts, Leonzio is a well-known patron of the people of Lyon: he often takes young artists under his wing and nurtures them so that they can make a living from their passion. Giovanni is very close to his uncle, with whom he corresponds frequently to tell him about his studies in the arts, which his uncle finances. But for some time, Giovanni no longer has any news from his uncle. Having finished his studies, he decides to pay him a little visit surprise to make sure all is well. Unfortunately, on arriving there, Giovanni learns the terrible news: his uncle died in a terrible fire... the house is devastated, there is nothing left...
