They say that long ago in the valley of the Beune, peasants and knights lived alongside the free, mysterious creatures of the forest. It was a perfect coexistence, until Lord Rodrick de Rocheval seized power.
Consumed by ambition, he saw those creatures as a threat. He murdered Shaana, goddess of Nature, and tore out her heart, which he locked away somewhere in Commarque Castle.
Kept sealed for far too long, the heart is dying today, taking the forest’s life with it.
